QWEST Seeks ARRA Funds
Posted: Thu Mar 25, 2010 08:59:23 AM by: gary

After boycotting ARRA Round 1 (and undermining New Mexico's state-wide plan), QWEST apparently has decided that they would like some of Uncle Sam's money after all. It will be interesting to learn which, if any, New Mexico areas are included in the QWEST application. According to the Press Release, QWEST would "extend broadband at speeds of 12 to 40 Mbps to rural communities throughout its local service region." It's too bad Las Cruces is not considered a rural area. You can read the entire release at http://news.qwest.com/BroadbandApplication
